COVID-19 Misconception - You are infringing on my freedom
This is the one that frustrates me the most, yet is probably the hardest to counter... During World War II many people enlisted to take up arms against those trying to take away our freedom. Yes, there was a draft, and some people attempted to avoid their duty. Some people died and many civilians endured rationing and other sacrifices. We are the 'soldiers' in this war against the virus. We are simply being asked to wear a mask, keep our distance and wash our hands. I would prefer not having to do these things, but in the interest of my neighbors I am going to do them. I view my sacrifice as trivial compared to those that fought WWII. And I view it as trivial when I think of the people that work in hospitals. I only have to endure some relatively minor inconveniences for about a year, whereas the sacrifice during WWII was four years! If you are a Christian...
